Dispersers
ROSS High Speed Dispersers are standard workhorses used throughout the chemicals, plastics, coatings, inks, paints, adhesives and other industries. Their primary purpose is to incorporate powders into liquid and break down particle agglomerates to produce a one dispersion.
High Shear Mixers
The advent of rotor/stator mixers revolutionized mixing technology. Imparting vigorous radial and axial fow patterns and intense shear, ROSS High Shear Mixers accomplish a variety of processing objectives including homogenization, emulsication, powder wet-out and deagglomeration.
Kneaders
Kneader-Extruders are used across the globe for extremely viscous applications exceeding 10 million CP. ROSS represents the fnest German technology in partnership wit AMK Kneader-Extruders and provides mixing solutions for customers in the adhesive, food, rubber and chemical industries.
Multi Shaft Mixers
Used throughout nearly every process industry, ROSS Multi- Shaft Mixers are robust and versatile. Available in a variety of configurations, as either dual shaft mixers or triple shaft mixers depending on batch characteristics, Multi-Shaft Mixers accommodate a fexible range of shear input and viscosities up to several hundred thousand centipoise.
Planetary Mixers
The change-can Double Planetary Mixer (DPM) was a revolutionary invention introduced by ROSS in the early 1940's. As its name implies, the DPM consists of two identical blades that move in a planetary motion, rotating on their own axes as they orbit a common axis.
Ribbon Blenders
ROSS Ribbon Blenders, Paddle Blenders and Cylindrical Vacuum Dryers meet the toughest standards for quality and long-term performance. These blenders are offered in many customizable configurations, from laboratory sizes to 1000 cu. ft.
Solid/Liquid Injection
The ROSS Solid/Liquid Injection Manifold (SLIM) is a proprietary induction system which introduces raw material into a liquid phase directly in the high shear zone of a rotor/stator, promoting instant wet-out.
Three Roll Mills
The material to be milled is placed between the feed and center rolls. Each adjacent roll rotates at progressively higher speeds.
Tumble Blenders
ROSS tumble blenders are available in a variety of geometries, the most common being the V-shaped or double-cone configurations.
Vacuum Drying Systems
Complete vacuum drying systems are available to meet the needs of each application. The systems typically include a mixer/blender, filter, condenser, vacuum pump and condensate receiving vessel.
Vacuum Mixer Homogenizers
The ROSS Turboemulsifier consists of a counter-rotating turbine and a high speed rotor/stator. The rotor stator head is positioned in the bottom center of the mix vessel to enable its use with very small volumes of material.
Vertical Blenders
Vertical Blenders are an excellent design alternative for applications that are shear sensitive or where space on the plant floor is at a minimum.
Discharge System
Follower Plate Discharge Systems are used to discharge viscous non-flowable materials from the vessel of a Change Can Mixer.
